En el marc de la Universitat d’Estiu de la UVic-UCC i amb l’objectiu de conèixer les diverses realitats culturals del continent asiàtic es plantegen les següents activitats durant el mes de juliol. Llengua i cultura xinesa. Taller. Dilluns 10 i dimarts 11 de juliol de les 17 a les 20 h.Aproximació al coneixement general sobre la Xina: el seu idioma i la seva cultura. Pel que fa la llengua s’aprendran conceptes bàsics sobre el sistema fonè- tic i gràfic, així com vocabulari i frases d’us quotidià. El mercat japonès serà el protagonista de les terceres jornades empresarials Horitzó Àsia, que tindran lloc els propers 13 i 14 de juliol en el marc de la Universitat d’Estiu de la Universitat de Vic – Universitat Central de Catalunya, coincidint amb la celebració del tretzè festival Nits de Cinema Oriental. Les jornades s’organitzen amb l’objectiu de donar a conèixer les possibilitats comercials del continent asiàtic, i cada any giren a l’entorn d’un país concret. En aquesta edició, se centren en Japó i es duran a terme dues taules rodones a més d’una exposició temporal i un taller de cal·ligrafia, que tindran lloc a Casa Convalescència de Vic. With the arrival of Christmas, Horitzó Àsia offers again a free activity designed for children and for the whole family: will be on  December 27 and January 2, in several civic centers in Vic (see schedules and directions below). With the aim of bringing children into the Asian world, Horitzó Àsia proposes three sessions of the puppet tale "The wise blinds and the elephant", this year again by the puppeteer actress Marta Esmarats and the musician Michael Fletas, both them of Rondellaire group. This year 2015, Horitzó Àsia project promotes again a grant with the aim of empowering the establishment of future relations with other universities and research centers in Asia and promote the economic, social, educational and cultural links between the city of Vic and this region. Horitzó Àsia creates the "Grants for research stays in Asia for master and doctoral students" and it is destined to UVIc-UCC doctoral or master's degree students in research phase of a final project.

Thursday and Friday of last week, Casa Convalescència of Vic hosted the II Hortizó Àsia Business Conference in the Summer University program of UVic - UCC. These seminars have highlighted the good moment to do business in Hong Kong and India. The two sessions, in roundtable format, have explored different business opportunities between Catalonia and Hong Kong and India.

Horitzó Àsia project and UVic - Central University of Catalonia propose a new Postgraduate Asian Studies for the academic year 2015/2016 (30 credits). With the aim of training professionals who are qualified to perform efficient analysis on the Asian reality, from postgraduate taught knowledge about geography, politics, economy and cultural diversity of the continent. In recent years there has been a growing a demand for advanced training based in Asia. For this reason, studies have a transversal approach to the values ​​emanating from its ancient cultures, with special emphasis on China, Japan, India, Korea and Indonesia. The preparation and content of this provision graduate has had the collaboration of HispanoAsian Business Consulting. The postgraduate will begin in mid-October 2015 and will end in June 2016.
